Mission Statement Developing A Vision And Mission
Recently, I was consulting a company, and the discussion came up on mission statements. This particular company, as well as others I have consulted, lacked a mission and vision statement. They are both successful organizations, however, there was lacking the critical element of what we do and why we do it for their employees, and more importantly, for their customers. An important theme connects the visions statement (the leaderââ¬â¢s strategic plan for the organization) coupled and certainly interdependent is the mission statement (what we do, how do we do it, and whom do we serve?). Creating your organization s vision and mission statements are the first two steps in developing the planning process.
